- PTSO In Action:
- The PTSO provided logistical help to the Dance Parents running concessions and providing food for The Nutcracker.
- We distributed mini test kits to support teachers during mid year finals.
- We will be providing spring semester student incentives, including Spirit Shop coins for K-6 and gift cards for 7-12.
- Volunteer Opportunities:
- Our next big fundraiser is coming up! We need volunteers to help with Concessions for the Major Musical! See our Volunteer Signups page for more information!
- Speak Up Speak Out is looking for backstage volunteers for the Black History Month Celebration. Please reach out to Ms. Calloway!
- We are looking for parents with food industry connections to help us feed staff and teachers during conference nights. More info coming soon!
- PTSO Elections are coming up in May! We need your help to continue this good work! If you are interested in any of these opportunities, please reach out with questions!! Open positions include:

- LSMDC Parent Representatives – 2 positions
- Artistic Director Updates:
- External Auditions coming up 1/21-1/23. The PTSO will be providing Comfort Stations for our potential new students!
- Major Musical:
- Delayed start due to weather – we’ll roll with it!
- Parent Meeting has been moved online. Reach out to Maggie Perrino if you have not received the link.
- Volunteers will be needed to help backstage (purple badge) and serve meals to the kids. More info coming soon!
- Speak up Speak out is sponsoring a Black History Celebration Performance.
- There will be an info session for Juniors this Friday about Corbett Mayerson Awards.
- Change of major for current students will be in mid April.
- Auditions for current third graders will be held in school during the month of March. They do not need to attend the January dates.
