The Senior Class is organizing a School Supply Drive and the deadline to donate is April 30th! Items collected during this drive will be donated directly to our own K-6 teachers! It’s a beautiful way for the senior class to support SCPA.
Show your support by donating essential school supplies by April 30. Items can be dropped off in the backstage scenic shop or Room 4025.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5-9! We love our teachers, and it’s important to tell them how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication! During Teacher Appreciation Week, you or your child(ren) can write a note or send a small gift to say thanks. Our words are powerful, and words of affirmation can change someone’s day! Let’s appreciate our teachers together!

Since the fall, a group of SCPA parents has been working to get a crosswalk on 12th St, connecting the SCPA gate and Washington Park. We believe this would make the street much safer for kids and families during drop-off and pick-up.
So far, our requests to the city and CPS transportation team have been denied. In response, we’ve decided to organize a volunteer crossing guard team each Friday afternoon at pick-up, 3:45-4:30 pm.
CPS has provided stop signs and vests, so all we need is for parents to show up. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Andy Shenk at 513-331-4894 or shenkac@gmail.com.
Parents plan to do this every Friday until the end of the school year, beginning this Friday, April 25.
The final PTSO meeting of the year is May 6! We’ll be voting for Board Members and dreaming up ideas for next year. Please join us! May 6 @ 6:30 in the Library and on Zoom.
