SCPA Family
Many of our families have been hit hard by the continuing government shutdown, loss of healthcare, and loss of SNAP benefits. If you are able to help a fellow SCPA family out, there are plenty of ways! M.O.R.E is running a food drive for Thanksgiving (collection bin in the lobby. The Juniour High Student Council and Speak Up, Speak Out is organizing a Grocery Store Gift Card collection. You can donate cash or gift cards at any school event or donate funds HERE.
NEW! Brain Bowl
Does your 4th-6th grade child like learning and memorizing facts? We are starting a Brain Bowl team at SCPA. We need smart, fast-thinking students to create this academic team! We will play other CPS schools once a week from January to mid-March. We will have Brain Bowl test tryouts next Friday, November 7, during your child’s recess. Your child must sign up with Ms. Singh in the library or Mrs. Bradley in room 2055 by Wednesday, November 5 in order to attend the tryouts. Contact both coaches if you have any questions:
Bridget Kennedy, parent: MsBridget@gmail.com
Victoria Bradley, 1st grade teacher: bradlev@cps-k12.org
Star Store Volunteers Needed
SCPA’s Star Store, part of PBIS Rewards, needs some regular parent volunteers on Fridays. Volunteers will help kiddos in grades K-6 navigate the store, choose rewards, and hand in their tickets. It’s easy and fun!
