Tardy Policy
HERE is a link to the Student Handbook that details the new tardy procedure. The bit we most want to highlight is that a student’s tardies refresh each quarter. So, if a student has five tardies on the last day of the quarter, they start the new quarter with zero tardies. For more information, check the handbook or reach out to an administrator.
Pick Up/Drop Off
- K-6:
- Back of school at the 12th Street gate
- You can stay in your car and pull up to the curb on 12th to let your child out.
- DO NOT park on 12th, get out of the car, and walk your child in.
- Many parents find it’s easier to find a parking spot a bit removed from the 12th Street drop off, park, and walk their child to school. Please note that city parking requirements still apply.
- 7-12:
- Front entrance on W. Central Parkway
- In the morning, you can pull up to the curb on Central Parkway and let your child out.
- You may also pull up to the curb on Elm or Race and let your child out.
- DO NOT park on Central Parkway or Elm, get out, and walk your child in.
- Buses use the space in front of the building for pickup after school.
- Many parents choose a predetermined meeting spot a block or so away from the school to make things easier.
Pickup and Drop off is always a bit of a cluster. So remember to look twice before pulling out, and always be kind to your fellow parents!
